Bass Preamps On-Board

G-BP3, G-BP2

G-BP3 is a high-quality, 3-band bass preamp that delivers transparent and natural sound.

With dynamic and selective sound in every EQ setting, this preamp becomes an excellent tool for building your own tone.

The construction of the preamp is based on carefully selected components, ensuring uncompromising sound quality.

In the construction of the preamp, we utilize highly regarded semiconductors and high-quality film capacitors, which offer superior sound properties compared to cheaper ceramic capacitors.

The input stage features a low-noise JFET transistor operating in class A, which enhances the clarity and purity of the sound, allowing for a more expressive and natural tone.

At GregoryPreamps, we emphasize quality by handcrafting our preamps, combining the best of SMD and THT technology to achieve outstanding results.

G-BP3 offers effective filters and precise potentiometer control, allowing for full control over the instrument's sound, both in the studio and on stage.

This preamp excels in any conditions, and its sound will always be clear and well-defined in the mix and within the band.

The preamp model is available in three versions:

G-BP3 – 3-band, designed for use with passive pickups, provides boost/cut gain for bass 40Hz +/-18dB, treble 6.5kHz +/-18dB, middle 400Hz/600Hz/800Hz +/-12dB - frequencies switched via a microswitch inside the installation or a 3-position mini switch on the outside.
An additional micro switch engages a 5m Fender cable emulation mode, allowing for a change in the character of the pickup sound.
On request, there is an option for an additional adjustable Gain +10dB.

G-BP3A – 3-band version, designed for use with passive and active pickups, provides boost/cut gain for bass 40Hz +/-15dB, treble 6.5kHz +/-15dB, middle 400Hz/600Hz/800Hz +/-9dB - frequencies switched via a microswitch inside the installation or a 3-position mini switch on the outside.

G-BP2 – 2-band version, designed for use with passive pickups, provides boost/cut gain for bass 40Hz +/-18dB, treble 6.5kHz +/-18dB.
An additional micro switch engages a 5m Fender cable emulation mode, allowing for a change in the character of the pickup sound.
On request, there is an option for an additional adjustable Gain +10dB.

Input impedance: 1MΩ (ideal for use with various pickups).
Power supply: 9V/18V (18V adds +6dB Headroom).
Current consumption: 2mA-9V / 2.5mA-18V.
